Kontakt Hub is a youth educational center with a mission to positively impact people's lives through education, humanitarian actions, and the promotion of Christian values.

Education

Afterschool program

Our main goal in education is to support children through the Afterschool program, which offers completely free classes and workshops for elementary school-aged children. With our team of mentors, we provide assistance to children from vulnerable groups, whose parents/guardians cannot afford additional educational support. Every Saturday, we organize lessons in Serbian language, mathematics, and English, along with creative workshops. Through this, we help children overcome challenges they face in school and foster their creativity. The program also includes a free hot meal and additional activities, such as visits to the theater and sports activities. The Afterschool program is a gift to the Kragujevac community, and for the past five years, the program’s participants have successfully improved their skills, which in turn has led to better academic results.

Brazilian Portuguese Classes

Every week, we organize Portuguese language classes with the goal of not only teaching grammar but also introducing Brazilian culture and traditions. We aim to learn the language in a fun and accessible way while connecting with new people. Paula Marques, our mentor and instructor, believes that learning a language is much more than mastering grammar – it’s a gateway to new opportunities and experiences:
“Hello everyone! I’m Ana Paula, I come from southern Brazil, and I’ve been living in Serbia with my family for the past ten years. I have experience working as an educator, and I enjoy sharing Brazilian cultures and traditions. My mission is to make learning Portuguese fun and accessible. I’m looking forward to our lessons!”

This program also has a humanitarian aspect – Paula contributes greatly to our community by volunteering her time and knowledge. The entire amount of the symbolic monthly fees is directly allocated to support the needs of the Afterschool program. We combine something beautiful, humane, and useful – learning Portuguese.

Humanitarian Actions

To support our fellow citizens and participants of the Afterschool program, we organize humanitarian events to raise funds for specific causes. We have successfully held a series of humanitarian pub quizzes, chess, and football tournaments, through which we gathered support for the continuation of the Afterschool program. Christian Values

At the core of everything we do, and the driving force behind our work and enthusiasm, is the message of Christianity, which is the essence of our mission.

We believe that the Christian message and faith are especially important in today's fast-paced and stressful world, and it is precisely this message that has the power to free the individual. We organize lectures, courses, and workshops on various inspirational Christian topics, all of which are open to anyone interested in engaging in discussions and learning more in this area.

Course "Hope explored"

Christian hope is a joyful expectation of the future, based on true events that happend in the past, and it transforms everything in our present.

This course invites people to explore whether hope is just a word we use in difficult times or if it holds a deeper meaning that shapes our lives.

It focuses on discovering long-term hope, inner peace, and purpose. The course includes three interactive workshops and a series of short, engaging films through which we explore the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus according to the Gospel of Luke. Regardless of what you believe or don’t believe, we invite you to explore, discuss, ask questions, and discover together. Welcome to "Exploring Hope."

New Program at Kontakt Hub:
English Language Classes

Kontakt Hub, as an extension of Blythswood Serbia, actively contributes to the development of the local community in Kragujevac. It regularly creates programs that offer educational opportunities to the community, while also supporting those who need help the most. That’s how the Kontakt team came up with the idea to launch English language classes. Thanks to the generous volunteer work of our instructors and symbolic monthly fees, we developed a fundraising program that provides high-quality language education — with all membership fees directly funding Kontakt Hub’s humanitarian initiatives, such as the Afterschool Program. Ana Petrović

A graduate philologist and experienced English language instructor, Ana has spent many years teaching and helping students succeed. She lives in Kragujevac, where her expertise and professionalism support learners in acquiring language skills and effective communication. Like Paula, Ana generously volunteers her time, selflessly sharing her knowledge and extensive teaching experience to support and contribute to the local community.

The 2025 Summer Camps Were a Success

Another amazing season of our children’s and youth camps, organized by Blythwood Serbia and Kontakt Hub, has come to a close — and our hearts are full!

Thanks to the generous support of Blythwood, children from our Afterschool program, along with kids and teenagers from across Serbia, had the opportunity once again to spend unforgettable days in nature, filled with recreational, educational, and spiritual activities.

This year’s camp themes were:

“Abraham” – Children’s Camp

Through play, workshops, and storytelling, the children discovered Abraham as a model of faith — a man who trusted God even when he didn’t know where he was going.
They learned that God keeps His promises and invites us to trust Him step by step, just like Abraham did.

“Who Am I?” – Youth Camp

The youth camp provided space for deeper conversations, new friendships, and a heartfelt search for identity.
The theme “Who Am I?” reminded us that our worth doesn’t depend on what others think of us — our true identity is found in Christ, through love, acceptance, and hope.
